The arrival of autumn is marked by a new edition of the Grand Pavois 2025.
Did you know that the name ‘Grand Pavois’ comes from a maritime expression where the word ‘pavois’ refers to a set of flags hoisted on a ship to celebrate an event?
This year, from 23 to 28 September, Neo Marine will be present to fly the flags of the Nautitech Catamarans and Bavaria Yachts stands.
A LOOK BACK AT HIS HISTORY
In the early 1970s, La Rochelle was already a city focused on the sea. Water sports were growing in popularity, thanks in particular to the opening of Port des Minimes in 1972, which is now one of the largest marinas in Europe.
Then, in 1973, four pioneers from La Rochelle shipyards (Henri Amel, Roger Mallard, Michel Dufour and Fernand Hervé) took the initiative and formed a professional association to promote the interests of the nautical industry. Their wishes : to meet the project managers and to try out the boats at sea.
The first edition was characterised by a warm, authentic and friendly atmosphere. This would become the trademark that we all know today as Le Grand Pavois.
